Genevieve Lalonde concluded an outstanding first season in the senior ranks with a strong 11th place showing at the World University Games in the 3000 metre steeplechase. Lalonde finished in a time of 10 minutes 9.43 seconds. Lalonde will now take a well deserved break before gearing up for a fall season. 

In other action this weekend, Rob Watson bounced back after being forced to withdraw from last week's Acura 10 Miler with a win at the Rock The Road 10k in London. Watson returned to his hometown to win the race in 30 minutes and 8 seconds. Watson will continue his build towards the Scotiabank Toronto Waterfront Marathon with a half marathon in Virginia Beach Sunday September 4th.
